Karolien Polenus is a sound therapist, enrootment practicioner and artist based in Brussels.
As a sound therapist she crafts nurturing sonic spaces that allow people to realign and remember their innate power. Through sound she opens a portal—bridging mind and heart—so each listener can reconnect, release, and remember “home” within.
A lifelong devotee of music, Karolien shifted from dj’ing all over and programming concerts to sound healing during the stillness of Covid-19.
The exploration felt natural: years earlier, a personal health crisis had introduced her to energy medicine, revealing the body’s capacity to restore itself when met with resonance.
Certified as a sound therapist in 2022, she now offers private and group sessions and workshops from Brussels, Belgium. Even in lockdown she gathered small groups in city parks, teaching simple energy-medicine practices to boost immunity and soften stress—proof that healing is available, anywhere, when sound and intention converge.

As a certified Enrootment practitioner, Karolien integrates therapeutic and spiritual work through a scientific, trauma-informed lens.
Her approach blends verbal and psychological tools with bodywork, anatomy, and energy practices—working across the mind, nervous system, and subtle body. Rooted in both non-dual awareness and somatic understanding, she guides others in releasing tension, balancing life force energy, and supporting deep transformation.

As an artist her interdisciplinary work explores the intersections of sound, spirit, and the natural world—blending movement, ritual, and frequency to restore coherence in body and psyche.
Her performances merge electronic and acoustic soundscapes with healing instruments, inviting audiences into immersive, altered states. Through this work, she explores how art can reconnect us—with ourselves, each other, and the living world. Her practice is both personal and collective: a sonic invitation to remember that we are nature, and nature is infinite.
